Oct 22, 2013

Ayuda Media Systems (“Ayuda”), makers of the world’s most sophisticated software platform for digital and traditional OOH networks, has today introduced the latest update of its Juice™ product (the sales portion of the Ayuda Platform). The update now enables Juice™ to create proposals that optimize over audience data provided by any custom impressions counting and reporting methodology, while optimizing over geographic constraints and custom business rules. While Ayuda launched Cerebro™ earlier this year, until now it was only available to outdoor operators who use audited data provided by TAB in the USA, and Route in the UK. Now that Cerebro™ has been expanded with the ability to ingest any audience data calculated by any custom impressions reporting methodology, Juice™ powered by Cerebro™ is finally available to DPb networks.

Juice™ is the sales component of the Ayuda Platform that consists of a CRM, avails checker, and proposal generator. It generates proposals and plans on either a location basis, or audience goal basis. The DPb enabled version of Juice™ powered by Cerebro™ is now available to all DPb networks who may use their own audience data and calculation methodologies directly in the plan optimization engine. Daniel Fleischer, Ayuda’s VP Business Development, states: “Cerebro™ has received widespread interest and recognition by the outdoor community in the past half year since its release.

Now, we are excited to be able to offer DPb networks the ability to create plans and proposals based on their real-time avails, using whatever impressions reporting methodology is employed by the individual network. Juice™, an HTML5 browser based application, lets any DPb media account executive view avails in real-time from their mobile devices, and then create proposals on available inventory based on the audience goals required for the buy. This new version of Juice™ powered by Cerebro™ is now flexible enough to adapt to the audience measurement methodology of any Digital Place-based network, which means we can provide optimized proposals based on audience goals and real avails to absolutely any DPb network in the world.” Juice™ powered by Cerebro™ for DPb networks will be on demonstration at the DPAA Video Everywhere summit.

Digital signage industry champion Daniel Fleischer promoted

By Andreas Soupliotis, Montreal, Canada

Oct 22, 2013

Ayuda Media Systems, the developer of the Ayuda Platform – an end-to-end software platform for OOH companies, announced today at the DPAA 2013 Summit that Daniel Fleischer has been named as Vice-President of Business Development. Daniel Fleischer originally joined Ayuda in 2011 as Director of Business Development.

“We believe in organically promoting within” said Andreas Soupliotis, President & CEO of Ayuda Media Systems. Soupliotis continued: “Dan joined Ayuda at a perfect time, as we were transitioning out of a pure R&D organization into a client-focused organization. He really helped build our client base over the past couple of years. His deep industry knowledge in digital signage has really helped us grow into the space as a leader. I’m delighted to share this promotion with the entire industry.”

Fleischer is known for his deep commitment to the industry and for championing an integrated approach to signage. Fleischer commented: “The reason I joined Ayuda about three years ago was that we have a completely different strategy than most of the other software vendors in the space. Ayuda is the only company that offers a comprehensive and integrated solution that marries the sales process of OOH with execution and finance – for both digital and traditional. And my favorite part of being with Ayuda is the culture – we are the only company that consistently innovates with new products and ideas. I love waking up in the morning and coming into the office because there’s so much exciting new stuff always going on.”

A big advocate in providing customer care and forging strategic partnerships, Fleischer is known for his passionate style and endless enthusiasm about the industry. He will play a key role in Ayuda as it continues to expand internationally into the Americas, Latin America and Asia Pacific regions. He is an industry veteran with a proven track record. Soupliotis stated: “I am 100% convinced that Dan is the right person for this job. He has forged a number of key relationships along with a long track record of superior performance. The manner in which he has conducted himself as a leader aligns perfectly with our culture at Ayuda”.

Ayuda Expands Cerebro™ to support DPb networks

Ayuda Media Systems’ Out-Of-Home Media Plan Optimization Engine now expanded to work with Digital Place-based networks’ impression methodologies

By Daniel Fleischer, New York, NY

Oct 22, 2013

Ayuda Media Systems has enhanced its Out-Of-Home media plan optimization engine, Cerebro™, by enabling it to use any set of mathematical algorithms as well as any source of data. This benefits DPb networks that today use a variety of impressions reporting methodologies depending on the delivery mechanism of the place based medium. While the DPb industry is working towards standards in how impressions are counted and reported for DPb networks, Cerebro™ can now use any standards-based or custom audience counting algorithm, creating and optimizing plans based on whatever campaign goal metrics are in use today by the respective network.

Ayuda, developers of the world’s most sophisticated media operations platform for D/OOH networks, unveiled Cerebro™ several months ago. Cerebro™ is a revolutionary media plan optimization tool specifically designed for network operators to maximize occupancy rates during the planning, proposal, and booking phases of the media sales workflow.

With this update, Cerebro™ can now be used for any D/OOH network, including DPb. Cerebro™ is a mathematical optimization engine that takes prioritized goal inputs such as reach & frequency, opportunity to see, panel quantity, geographical dispersion, as well as any manner of audience data, and delivers a plan that optimizes over each of those targets. Cerebro™ inputs an unlimited number of parameters and objectives, as well as the media operator’s own business rules, and consequently uses various mathematical optimization and meta-heuristic techniques to combine these disparate goals and output a set of candidate media plans that match the campaign objectives. By crunching all these objectives against the operator’s own available inventory while using their business rules as guidance, Cerebro™ assists the operator’s sales executives and schedulers to propose and pick inventory that precisely meets campaign objectives, and ultimately assists in maximizing occupancy.

Andreas Soupliotis, Ayuda’s President and CEO explains: “An elevator network may count an impression differently than a gas station or a fitness network. What’s needed is a malleable, adaptive impression calculation engine that is flexible enough to be retrofitted to work with every networks’ custom way of counting impressions for the purposes of selling and scheduling.” To DPb network operators, Soupliotis further states: “We can now input your math into Cerebro™, whatever algorithm and methodology you may be using. Until we all start using the same methodology, this flexibility is important. Today, most networks calculate impressions offline using spreadsheets that are manually injected into proposals. Then, the network has to manually figure out how to build the schedule to backend into the impressions that are promised. By enabling Cerebro™ to accept any custom math pluggable directly into the core plan optimization engine, tools like Ayuda’s Splash™ CMS and Juice™ proposal maker can take advantage of the network’s respective methodologies directly in the operational software. By plugging directly into Cerebro™, these tools allow DPb networks to generate plans, proposals and digital schedules based on their impressions methodologies which can be directly scheduled to the screen.”

Cerebro™ is being demonstrated today at the DPAA Video Everywhere Summit, and is available to any network as web services that plug into the operator’s existing set of inventory management tools, or as an optional add-on to Ayuda’s own platform which manages all elements of the media sales, operations, and execution workflow.

Ayuda Launches Alto™ – A Web Portal for Advertisers to Manage Content Directly Onscreen

Ayuda Media Systems Introduces Alto™ today at the DPAA Video Everywhere Summit, demonstrating how advertisers can control content directly on DPb and Outdoor displays

By Daniel Fleischer, New York, NY

Oct 22, 2013

Ayuda Media Systems (“Ayuda”), developers of the world’s most sophisticated software platform for managing all aspects of digital and traditional OOH networks’ sales and operations workflow, is showcasing a standalone web-based portal designed for high-profile advertisers to control content directly on the screens they have purchased air time on. This streamlines the often cumbersome and error-prone process that is typically employed today, where image and video files are manually uploaded to FTP sites for review and scheduling by the network operator. Alto™ offers a rich, intuitive interface for content upload and scheduling to high-profile advertisers who are given the appropriate authorization.

Once their campaign has been confirmed, Alto™ provides select advertisers with four entry points that allow them to upload content to individual panels or a network of panels; to view their schedule details and schedule content to specific panels; to manage their campaigns globally and modify content across the network of panels that they have purchased; and manage basic scheduling elements such as loop saturation and dynamic content. Best of all, Alto™ works as a standalone product which can be used with any player in the field, including Ayuda’s own Splash™ Player, the open-source OpenSplash Player, or any SMIL-based or XML playlist driven player.

Andreas Soupliotis, Ayuda’ President and CEO, commented: “Many network operators are seeing an increased demand from their clients for direct access to upload and schedule their own content. Advertisers are tired of the delays caused by the extra layer required to get their content displayed, not to mention how confusing and error-prone the existing processes are. All the majors have been asking for a better way to allow their clients to upload and manage their own content and schedules. Enter Alto™, the ultimate way of empowering the advertiser. What better way to show some love to your high-profile client, than by giving them a tool that they will use every day, that makes their lives simpler, and allows them not only to get content up and running quickly, but make changes and fix any content mistakes on the fly as needed? Regardless of what hardware and software combination is used at the player/screen level, Alto™ makes life universally simpler for the advertiser, and therefore for the network operator as well.” Alto™, the latest product to be added to the Ayuda Platform, is being unveiled at the DPAA Video Everywhere Summit today in New York, and is available to any digital OOH network regardless of what existing content scheduling and player software they currently use.
